A Grand Kick-Off to a Historic Sporting Event!
The 1st DPS Veterans Badminton Tournament – 2025 began today with a spectacular opening ceremony at Delhi Public School, Rudrapur.

The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Narendra Singh Jangpangi, IRS, Principal Commissioner of Income Tax, Haldwani, who declared the tournament open with inspiring words for all players. The ceremony was graced by Special Guests Shri Trilok Singh Panchal, Deputy Commissioner Income Tax, Haldwani; Shri Manoj Singh Dharamshaktu, Deputy Commandant – CISF; and Shri Gautam Kathuria, whose presence added great pride to the occasion.

Inside Industry: A Cross-Stream Educational Tour to Lumax SIDCUL
On 18th July 2025, the students of Grade XI from DPS Rudrapur visited the Lumax factory at SIDCUL as part of an interdisciplinary educational field trip. The visit aimed to provide students across the Science, Commerce, and Humanities streams with real-world exposure to industrial functioning, technology, and workplace dynamics.

Students explored various departments including the manufacturing floor, assembly line, paint area, and quality control unit. They observed the intricate processes involved in producing automobile components and the precision-driven environment in which these operations take place.

For Science students, the visit offered insights into applied engineering, automation, and quality assurance systems. Commerce students gained understanding of operational management, supply chains, and industrial workflow. Humanities students engaged with aspects of workplace organization, labour management, and the role of industry in economic development.

The team at Lumax provided detailed explanations, encouraging questions and discussions throughout the visit. It was a well-rounded experience that bridged textbook knowledge with practical applications, sparking curiosity and encouraging career exploration across disciplines.

This enriching trip reinforced the value of experiential learning and left students with a deeper appreciation of how industries contribute to society, economy, and innovation.

DPS Rudrapur celebrated Mother’s Day with immense warmth and gratitude to honour the irreplaceable presence of mothers in our lives. The event began with a heartfelt welcome as mothers were presented with handmade paper flowers crafted by students. The ceremony included the Lighting of the Lamp, silent prayer, “Hai Sharde Maa” rendition, a special pledge, and meaningful presentations like Thought of the Day, Word of the Day, and Amazing Facts about mothers. Students showcased their love through touching poems, speeches, and cultural performances, while mothers joyfully participated in games and fun-filled activities. The celebration concluded with a thank-you message and a motivating address by the Guest of Honour, Ms. Mandeep, who reminded children that a warm hug means more to a mother than any gift.

Vice Chairman Shri Harman Singh Grover extended his heartfelt wishes, stating that "A mother’s love is the foundation of every child’s growth. Let us honour her not just through celebrations but with daily gestures of love and respect."

The vibrant spirit of art and culture took center stage at the much-anticipated Rangotsav Felicitation Ceremony, where talent, dedication, and creativity were honored with grandeur.

Artists who showcased outstanding skills in various art competitions like colouring, handwriting, collage making, cartoon making, greeting card making, tattoo making, sketching, finger and thumb painting, and mask making were celebrated.

All the winners and achievers were felicitated with certificates, medals, and trophies.

Celebrating Creativity & Culture | Rangotsav Felicitation Ceremony

DPS Rudrapur proudly hosted the Felicitation Ceremony of the International Level Art Competition 2024-25, under the vibrant celebration of Rangotsav — a tribute to imagination, expression, and talent.

Young artists who excelled in diverse categories such as colouring, handwriting, collage making, cartoon making, greeting card making, tattoo making, sketching, finger & thumb painting, and mask making were honoured for their exceptional skills and dedication.

Participants and winners were awarded certificates, medals, and trophies, inspiring them to continue their creative journey with confidence and zeal.

Special Assembly on Labour Day – Honouring the Hands that Build the Nation

D.P.S. Rudrapur celebrated Labour Day with respect and enthusiasm through a Special Morning Assembly to acknowledge the efforts of all workers and instill values of dignity and gratitude in students.

The assembly began with a silent prayer, followed by the main prayer and a pledge to respect all forms of work.
The Thought of the Day and Word of the Day highlighted the value of labour.
News headlines and a GK quiz related to Labour Day enriched students’ awareness.

A skit showcased the importance of various professions, and a dance performance celebrated the dignity of labour.
Students expressed their gratitude by honoring the school’s support staff with handmade cards.

Principal Sir addressed the gathering, emphasizing respect for all workers and the value of hard work.
At the end, Chairman Sir addressed the assembly and honored all the didis and bhaiyas of our school, who work tirelessly for our comfort and convenience.

The assembly concluded with the heartfelt message:

Delhi Public School, Rudrapur is proudly hosting the 2nd Inter School Roller Skating Championship 2025 today, bringing together young skaters from various schools for a day of speed, spirit, and sportsmanship. Creative Minds at Work: Board Decoration Competition Held at School
The atmosphere at Delhi Public School, Rudrapur, was filled with colour, creativity, and enthusiasm as students participated in the much-anticipated House Board Decoration Competition held on April 16, 2025. Organized by the Primary wing (Grades III to V), the competition aimed to provide a platform for students to showcase their artistic talents and teamwork.

Each house was assigned a theme, ENVIRONMENT, and students brought it to life through vibrant displays, thoughtful messages, and eye-catching designs. From environmental awareness, the boards reflected a wide range of themes and artistic styles.

Judges evaluated the boards based on creativity, relevance to the theme, visual impact, and teamwork. The competition witnessed an overwhelming response from all the houses, and the level of effort and innovation displayed by the students was truly commendable.

Principal Sir appreciated the students' efforts and stated, “Competitions like these not only enhance creativity but also encourage collaboration and communication among students.”
