Professor Dr. Shivendra Kumar Kashyap Head/Joint Director, Dept. of Agricultural Communication, College of Agriculture, G.B.Pant University of Agriculture & Technology, Pantnagar, has ongoing contribution to the Agricultural Communication sector for last 24 years,

He has been the recipient of Manthan Award India, South Asia and Asia Pacific 2013 for Community Broadcasting to empower rural people in Jury Choice Category. He has been deeply involved in various training and teaching skill development programmes. To Professor Kashyap’s credit are several books on the subjects such as Agricultural Communication, Extension, Agricultural Education, Training methodology and Teaching Pedagogy.

And that’s not all, he has been deeply involved in various National Level Conferences and Workshops alongside organizing various training programmes and seminars. Having published more than 30 academic papers Prof Kashyap has been the proud recipient of Post-Doctoral Fellow Award by ICAR. He is currently working with Ford foundation, UNICEF, National Fisheries Development Board and NABARD.

He is the proud recipient of a number of awards namely, Faculty Excellence Award in Board of Faculty of Agriculture Annual Programme at College of Agriculture, GB Pant University of Agricuture and Technology Pantnagar, Best Teaching Practices Award in Board of Faculty of Agriculture Annual Programme at College of Agriculture, GB Pant University of Ag. and Technology Pantnagar, Dr. S. Radhakrishnan University Best Teacher Award, Faculty Excellence Award in Board of Faculty of Agriculture Annual Programme at College of Agriculture, GB Pant University of Ag. and Technology Pantnagar, Manthan Award for South Asia and Asia Pacific at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi and the National Community Radio Award 2014and 2015.
