In recognition of the importance of sports in a child’s life, Delhi Public School Rudrapur celebrated its Annual Sports Day for children of pre primary and grade -1. 
Students arrived buzzing with excitement. They had their listening ears, watching eyes and thinking brains and were decked out in the track suits. 
The children participated in large numbers in engaging and innovative races like Teddy Race, Find the coin, Hurdle race etc. 
The proud winners of the races were felicitated with medals and every participant was presented with a certificate. For little ones, it is important that they participate in Sports Day as they gradually get to understand that daily sports and games are a part of life. Children and teachers immensely enjoyed the Sports Day. The outcome was that they listened well and followed the instructions beautifully. This also helps in improving their movement and coordination skills. They learn to lead, follow and be part of a team.
We thank our honourable chairman Shri Surjit Singh Grover for offering our students the best possible opportunities to become confident, thoughtful young people who are prepared for any future challenges, in an exciting and increasingly global world.
