Graduation Day of the youngest learners at Delhi Public School, Rudrapur was celebrated with much fanfare on 2nd April 2023, Sunday, at the school itself. The theme of the event was ‘Aaina – The Reflection’ which is one of the most underused yet powerful tools for success. The tiniest tots made everyone aware that the real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection. Graduation Day was their day and the well-groomed students came on stage to enthrall everyone with their blazing performances.
The event was graced by a galaxy of guests including Chief Guest, Her Excellency, Ms. Alejandra Maria Rodriguez Sierra (Charge d' Affaires a.i. Embassy of Colombia to India, Guest of Honour, Mr. Manjunath TC, SSP Udham Singh Nagar along with his better half, Mr. D.K. Sharma, Member, All India Bar Council, Mr. Pawan Aggarwal, MD S.P.Solvent, Mr.Jugal Kishore Bamba ji, Shri. Kasturilal Tagra ji, Shri. Mr. Rajendra Shridhar, Mr Pankaj Shukla, Treasury Incharge, Ms Nirmala Bisht, Deputy Director, Mandi Samiti and Dr Rajeev, MD, Krishna Hospital.
Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji and Principal, DPSR warmly welcomed the distinguished guests and guardians in attendance. The event began with the lamp lighting ceremony and was peppered with a variety of events all lined up to reinforce the theme of the day.
The students started off the show with ‘Suron ka Saaz’ where the confluence of all hues of music came together to highlight the various colours of life. The students then reiterated the mantra of life, ‘Physical Fitness’, through their yoga moves. The event then touched upon the reflections one makes while going through various phases of life, ‘Mamta ki Chaon Mein’ – highlighted the comforts one is blessed with when one’s mother is around, ‘Shaurya Naari ka’ – highlighted the valour of the women, ‘Victory Beyond Fear’, ‘Rise, Shine and Win’, Zindagi - Zindadilli ka Naam and ‘Sach ka Deedar’ – reinforced how we are limited by our fears and how victory and endless joy lies just beyond it if we dare to face our truths. The learnings stressed on how everything in one’s life is merely a reflection of a choice that one has made and how it can be altered to a new and joyful result by just making a different choice.
Thereafter, Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji addressed the audience and applauded the efforts put in by the youngest charges and their mentors. Having reached such heights, he thanked everyone for their unstinted support as this was also the Foundation Day. He also reiterated how the school is not only achieving laurels at various national and international forums but is also imparting value education to the future generation. He culminated his speech by expressing his gratitude to distinguished chief guests and other luminaries for gracing the occasion. Mementos were handed to all the esteemed guests. The culmination of the ceremony was a vision to behold as all the little ones were proudly dressed up in their graduation robes and hats.
