78th Independence Day Celebrations @ DPS-Rudrapur with Pomp & Show
The 78th Independence Day was celebrated with full enthusiasm and ardour at DPS, R. The program commenced with the cadence beats of the band.
The guests were welcomed by the Principal of the school and escorted by the NCC cadets towards the venue. The tricolour unfurled by the guests, gave us a sense of patriotism and sacrifices made for the country's freedom.
NCC Parade by the cadets on this auspicious occasion showcased the discipline, courage and patriotism of the young cadets.
The event was graced by the presence of esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sunil Khera, Deputy Advocate, General, High Court of Uttarakhand along with the Special Guests, Shri Gautam Kathuria, a renowned Chartered Accountant & MD Gautam Kathuria & Associates, Shri Gopal Maheshwari, an eminent Chartered Accountant and Partner with Gautam Kathuria & Associates, Mr. Ritesh Manacho, a renowned Bhajan Singer, Shri Manoj Gupta ji, a distinguish Jeweller and Industrialist and our honorable Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji.
The audience enjoyed the vibrant celebration which was performed by the students by depicting the realm of the diverse culture and vast history of our country.
The program instilled a deep sense of pride and reminded everyone about the importance of cultural wealth that binds the nation together.
The program culminated by the motivational speeches of our Chief Guest, Mr. Sunil Khera, who inspired the students to focus on reading biographies of freedom fighters and shared few glimpses from the life of martyr Bhagat Singh.
The Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji addressed the gathering with his valuable words also focused on the welfare of the youth of our nation and mentioned that the school is committed to the overall personality of the students and offers various opportunities- individual sports, day boarding and hostel for boys.
