GRD International School Creates History at DPS T-10 Inter-School Cricket Tournament
Rudrapur witnessed an exhilarating conclusion to the DPS T-10 Inter-School Cricket Tournament, which saw the participation of 29 prestigious schools. The final match was a thrilling contest between GRD International School, Rudrapur and The Oxford Academy, where GRD clinched the trophy with an impressive 11-run victory.
Batting first, GRD set a challenging target of 120 runs in 15 overs, powered by a brilliant 40-run knock from Vansh and 22 runs from Abhinav Bhagel. On the bowling front, Deepak took 3 crucial wickets, supported by Shaurya and Priyanshu, who picked up 2 wickets each. The Oxford Academy fought hard, scoring 109 runs with notable performances by Nishant (41 runs) and Krish Singh (27 runs).
The tournament’s individual awards went to:

Best Bowler: Priyanshu (The Oxford Academy)

The awards were presented by the Chief Guest, Mr. Bhupender Singh Rawat (Officer, Youth Welfare Department), and Special Guest, Mr. Uttam Singh Jantwal (HR Head, Belrise Limited).
Chairman Shri Surjit Singh Grover, Vice Chairman Shri Harman Singh Grover, and Principal Shri Chetan Chauhan congratulated both the winning and runner-up teams for their remarkable performances. Shri Surjit Singh Grover emphasized the importance of sports in building confidence, discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills among students, expressing DPS Rudrapur’s commitment to fostering holistic development.
The event was successfully organized by the DPS Sports Department with special contributions from Mr. N.S. Rawat (JPS Sports HOD), Mr. Harshit Arora, and the DPS Rudrapur sports team.
