Empowering Educators through Active Learning: CBSE Workshop at DPS Rudrapur
"You don't learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over." – this inspiring thought perfectly captured the essence of the CBSE Workshop on Active Learning organized at Delhi Public School, Rudrapur, felicitated by the Centre of Excellence, Dehradun.
The one-day workshop aimed to equip teachers with innovative teaching strategies that promote student engagement, creativity, and critical thinking in the classroom. The sessions were conducted by Dr. Pankaj Kumar Kansal (Principal, White Board Public School, Saharanpur) and Dr. Prashant Kumar (Senior PGT, S.S. Children Academy, Moradabad), the Resource Persons from CBSE.
They emphasized the need to shift from traditional rote learning to activity-based and experiential methodologies, where learners actively construct knowledge through exploration and participation. Teachers took part enthusiastically in hands-on activities, group discussions, and interactive demonstrations, showcasing how learning can be transformed into an enjoyable and meaningful experience.
The resource persons also introduced practical examples and digital tools that can be integrated into classroom teaching, helping educators make lessons more dynamic, student-centered, and effective. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q&A session, enabling teachers to share experiences, ideas, and challenges.
Overall, the session proved to be an enriching professional development experience, empowering teachers to reimagine their classrooms as spaces of collaboration, creativity, and discovery.
A heartfelt thanks to Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh Grover, for his constant encouragement, visionary leadership, and unwavering commitment to fostering innovation in education. His continued support and belief in empowering educators inspire the entire DPS Rudrapur fraternity.
