Delhi Public School Rudrapur proudly hosted another thrilling day of the CBSE National Fencing Championship 2026 as Day 5 witnessed India's finest young fencers competing with exceptional skill, determination, and sportsmanship. The prestigious CBSE National Sports Championship continues to bring together talented athletes from across the country, making DPS Rudrapur a hub of national-level school sports.
The championship was honoured by the distinguished presence of Mr. Rajeev Mehta, Secretary General of the Fencing Association of India and Secretary General of the Fencing Confederation of Asia. His inspiring address encouraged the participants to pursue excellence with discipline, dedication, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.

Each bout showcased remarkable precision, tactical brilliance, lightning-fast reflexes, and unwavering determination, reflecting the high standards of national fencing competitions in India.

Silver: Parmita Rani – Guru Teg Bahadur Public School, Karnal, Haryana

Bronze: Keniya Devi Guruaribam – North Point Hr. Sec. School, Manipur
Sub-Junior Boys' Foil
Gold: Ujjwal Rawat – D.A.V. Public School, Faridabad, Haryana
Silver: Tanmay Sharma – Delhi Public School, Faridabad, Haryana
The championship was further honoured by the gracious presence of Smt. Nirmala Bisht, General Manager (Administration), Uttarakhand Krishi Utpadan Vipnan Board, along with Mr. Amitabh Rai, Member, Adhoc Committee – Fencing Association of Uttar Pradesh.
The event was also attended by distinguished members of Rotary Club Rudrapur, including Mr. Avijit Singh, Mr. Sunil Soni, Mr. Neeraj Panchal, Mr. Manoj Agnihotri, Mr. Jai Prakash Aggarwal, Ms. Babli Aggarwal, Mr. Atul Gupta, and Ms. Aarti.
Members of Harmony Club Rudrapur, including Mrs. Dhara Aggarwal, Mrs. Anju Mittal, Mrs. Sarina Aggarwal, Mrs. Ruchi Garg, Mrs. Suniti Goel, Mrs. Tanvi Goel, Mrs. Madhu Rungta, Mrs. Monika Shyampuria, Ms. Jasmeet Talwar, and Ms. Amita Agarwal, also graced the occasion and encouraged the young athletes.
The championship also witnessed the enthusiastic presence of the Helping Hands Team, including Ms. Mansi Khandelwal, Ms. Srishty Mittal, Ms. Nancy Bansal, Ms. Shivali Goel, and Ms. Vidhushi Agarwal, who applauded the remarkable performances displayed by the participants.

The medal winners were felicitated by Chairman Shri Surjit Singh Grover, Vice Chairman Shri Harman Singh Grover, and Principal Mr. Chetan Singh Chauhan, who congratulated the champions and appreciated the tireless efforts of referees, technical officials, coaches, volunteers, and the organising committee for successfully conducting one of the country's premier CBSE fencing championships.
