"D.P.S. Rudrapur Celebrates the 77th Independence Day with a Colorful Program.
The 77th Independence Day celebration is becoming a witness to the diverse cultural richness, military skills of the nation, and several other unique initiatives. Today, on this Independence Day, D.P.S. Rudrapur has also become a witness to various cultural programs. Distinguished guests for today's event included Mrs. Alakananda Ashok, Joint Secretary of the Indian Olympic Association, President of the Badminton Association of Uttarakhand, and Dr. Shivendra Kashyap, Director- DPS Rudrapur and Dean of the College of Technology, G.B. Pant University, Dr. Mandip Singh, MD, Medicity Hospital, Dr. Rajiv, MD Krishna Hospital, and Dr. Jaswinder Singh Gill, who represent the Indian tradition, were welcomed with the sentiment of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' (Guest is God).
The program began with the flag hoisting and the national anthem, along with enthusiastic cheers for Mother India.
The presentations by the students during the program captured the attention of guests and parents alike. The group dance attempted to connect the entire Indian subcontinent, while the presentation of yoga by the young children attracted everyone's attention with various yoga poses.
On this occasion, Mrs. Alakananda Ashok emphasized that the entire D.P.S. family is making unique efforts for education and society. She stated that the society is changing today, and every citizen of India is making unique efforts in their respective fields. This will lead us to become global leaders once again, provided we preserve our culture and heritage and take pride in it.
Chairman of the school, Mr. Surjit Singh Grover, congratulated everyone on the 77th Independence Day. He stressed the need for all Indians to commit to fulfilling their duties, which will lead to individual and national development.
Mr. Singh further mentioned that our school's students are shining not only in academics but also in sports. He highlighted the importance of nurturing the hidden talents within students, which goes beyond just their academic scores. He thanked the visiting guests and all parents who dedicated their valuable time for the children.
At the end of the program, mementos were presented to the guests, and the event concluded with the distribution of sweets."
