In Uttarakhand, people welcome each season with grateful heart and rejoice all big and small accomplishments by paying respect to nature’s abundance.
Keeping alive the same spirit and to exalt the spirit of inspiration and aspiration, Delhi Public School, Rudrapur celebrated Harela festival with zeal and zest.
The function commenced with the formal welcome of esteemed guests Mr. R.P.Sharma- Chairman- Unity Law College, Dr.Amita Upreti, renowned Medical Professional along with Honorable Chairman of DPS-Rudrapur, Shri Surjit Singh Ji
All the dignitaries were warmly welcomed as they graced the day with their benign presence.
The celebration commenced with lamp lighting along with a welcome song & Asheesh Vachan. A skit was performed on Mayar Sanskriti Mero Kumaun and an Inter House Kumauni dance competition between Vindhya, Aravali, Shivalik and Himalaya .
The Chairman, Shri Surjit Singh, enlightened the students with his inspirational words. He motivated and mentored the students to live a happy and contended life ahead.
One of the key highlights of the celebration was the cultural program, which showcased a variety of performances including folk dances, songs, and skits depicting the folklore and agricultural practices associated with Harela. It was heartening to see our talented students express their creativity and passion for our rich cultural heritage.
The celebration of Harela Mahotsav was not just a one-day event but a journey of learning and appreciation that spanned several days. It brought our school community closer together, fostering a sense of unity and pride in our cultural roots.
We are highly grateful to our Chairman Sir, Shri Surjit Singh Grover ji for providing a platform where students grow with their new aspirations and zeal.
Let us carry forward the spirit of Harela Mahotsav in our hearts and continue to cherish and preserve our cultural heritage with pride.
