Successful Organization of the 5th Uttarakhand State Games 2024 Women's Fencing Competition at Delhi Public School Rudrapur

Today, Delhi Public School Rudrapur hosted the 5th Uttarakhand State Games 2024 Women's Fencing Competition. The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Mahesh Negi, President of the Uttarakhand Olympic Association, as the chief guest. The guest of honor included Mr. Mukherjee Nirwan, former President of the Uttarakhand Olympic Association, Mr. Ghanshyam Shyamppuria, President of the Udham Singh Nagar Boxing Association, Mr. Surjeet Singh Grover, President of the Uttarakhand Fencing Association, Mr. Gopal Singh Kholia, Mr. Harish Thukral, Mr. Amit Agarwal, and Dr. Bhuvan Tiwari, who also enhanced the event with their presence.

Participants displayed excellent performances. In the Épée event, Karishma from Nainital won the gold medal, while Bhavna, also from Nainital, secured the silver. Anika from Dehradun and Pari Sharma from Udham Singh Nagar bagged the bronze medals. In the Foil event, Saniya Bisht from Dehradun won the gold, Niharika Singh from Udham Singh Nagar claimed the silver, and Savitri Kumar and Arpita Sharma, both from Udham Singh Nagar, won bronze medals. In the Sabre event, Lavanya from Udham Singh Nagar won the gold, Rukansha Rathore from Dehradun took the silver, while Ishika and Sakshi, both from Udham Singh Nagar, secured the bronze medals.

The chairman of DPS Rudrapur, Mr. Surjeet Singh Grover, & Principal congratulated all the winners and wished them a bright future.
