Pranam Shaheeda Nu – Paying Tribute to the Martyrdom of Chaar Sahibzade and Mata Gujri Ji
Delhi Public School Rudrapur paid homage to the unparalleled courage and sacrifice of Chaar Sahibzade and Mata Gujri Ji on Thursday, 26th December 2024. Students were introduced to the inspiring history of Guru Gobind Singh Ji's sons, who embraced martyrdom at a young age, standing firm in their faith and principles.
Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s four sons—Sahibzada Ajit Singh, Jujhar Singh, Zorawar Singh, and Fateh Singh—were initiated into the Khalsa and attained martyrdom before the age of 17, defending their faith and values.
Ajit Singh (18) and Jujhar Singh (14) achieved immortality on December 7, 1705, at Chamkaur, fighting valiantly against Mughal forces. Zorawar Singh (9) and Fateh Singh (6) were executed by Aurangzeb after refusing to renounce their faith, becoming symbols of ultimate sacrifice for Dharma.
We thank Chairman Shri Surjit Singh Grover for nurturing platforms that inspire moral and spiritual growth in young minds.
